Israeli Occupation Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has banned the Islamic call to prayer throughout the 1948 territories, labeling it as “noise.”
He said that, like in Europe and other what he called “civilized” countries, Israel must address mosque noise. It comes as the Zionist is reinforcing the fascism of its colonial counterparts.
The new policy empowers occupation police to enter mosques, confiscate loudspeakers, and fine mosques. It is not the first time that Ben Gvir has taken aim at the call to prayer.
In 2013, well before he was a minister, him and a group of other far-right activist blasted the call of prayer during the early morning hours of Tel Aviv to supposedly display how loud the prayer is to people who never experienced it before.
