At least two young men have been arrested for allegedly attacking a 13-year-old high school learner in Mitchells Plain.
It’s understood the two occupants in a Toyota Quantum had offered a group of learners who were walking home a lift. But when they refused, the suspects became verbally aggressive and the children ran. However, they caught the teenager and held a knife to his neck.
Police say community members came to the boy’s rescue.
An okapi knife was seized.
The suspects aged 16 and 24 are expected to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s court, once charged.
