A 20-year-old North West woman has confessed to wiping out her family. She made the admission voluntarily at the Mmakau Police Station.

It’s alleged she hired two hitmen to kill her parents and three siblings on December 6th 2016 at their home in Mmakau village.

At the time of the crime the suspect who was 16-years-old claimed she was outside to get rid of water used for the washing of dishes when she heard gunshots from the house. Upon investigation, the suspects allegedly shot her in the thigh and fled with the family car.

Police found the bodies of the father who was a police officer, his wife, 18-year-old pregnant daughter and six-year-old son in a pool of blood.

The daughter and her two accomplices who are both 23-year-old have been arrested. They are facing five counts of murder and armed robbery.
