Yemen’s Ansarallah movement is unfazed by the US redesignating it as a terrorist organisation saying at this stage it’s a badge of honour for their unwavering support stance for the Palestinian people. In a statement Ansrallah’s political office says America’s behaviour is ridiculous considering its known as the global state of terrorism and is a sponsor of Israel’s crimes in Gaza.

The redesignation is said to have no practical value as the US has been involved in the suffering of Yemen since March 2015 when Saudi Arabia unleashed its aggression on its neighbour. Ansrallah says Yemen has fundamentally been subjected to a US economic blockade. In an unprecedented move Ansrallah imposed a sea blockade on the Israeli occupation entity in response to its genocidal war on Gaza.

It has blocked Zionist linked ships and those coming and going to Israel in the Red Sea. The US and Britain have used these acts of resistance to bomb Yemen as it threatens the Wests settler colonial project in the Middle East.
