A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attack on Mitchells Pass near Ceres.

It’s alleged the man and an accomplice approached occupants in a vehicle, stabbing a woman and stealing the car. They were having coffee at the time.

Western Cape Traffic Services managed to recover the vehicle and made the arrest. The suspect faces charges of vehicle theft and assault with intent to cause serious bodily harm.

The second suspect is still at large.
