Premier Alan Winde has announced the formation of a new department that will be focused on infrastructure.

He made this revelation during the State of the Province Address being hosted in Velddrif.

He says that it will incorporate the departments of Human Settlements, Public Works and address roads and properties.

Winde says that transport is also heavily reliant on this infrastructure.

He says that once public transport is working optimally, the region’s economy will see a boost, and people’s job security will be ensured.
