Social media users have been left frustrated as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram have temporarily shut down.

WhatsApp users are experiencing connectivity issues, unable to send, receive or view WhatsApp statuses. While Facebook users trying to access the app are greeted with the message “Something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”

Facebook spokesperson Andy Stone says they’re aware of the issue and are trying to solve the issue as best they can.
