The SA Weather Service has issued a warning of more damaging winds for Cape Town. The Level 2 warning is expected to bring a south-easterly wind with speeds of between 50 and 70 km/h from Table Bay to Cape Agulhas. The wind is expected to pick up this afternoon into tomorrow.

The City’s Disaster Risk Management Centre says this warning goes hand in hand with a high risk of veldfires. It has urged people to avoid working with open flames or flammable substances where possible.
