President Cyril Ramaphosa has told Western leaders to put action to their words.
He says that too many times, the developed nations have pledged support for African nations, but fail to deliver.
He made the example of the Covid-19 vaccine procurement, where rich nations bought up most of the available vaccines, and African nations had to scramble for what was left.
President Ramaphosa says that for too long, the West has made developing nations feel like beggars.
He says that this was ironic, as Africa remains the most resource rich continent in the world.
The president was speaking at the Summit for a New Global Financial Pact in Paris.
