More allegations of racism at South African schools have come to the fore.
The latest is the Milnerton High School. It follows reports that a black pupil was allegedly made to get on his knees and bow to a white pupil following an altercation over a bench.
The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is probing the alleged incident. It says the department says its internal labour relations sub-directorate launched an investigation, and that the school had dealt with the matter according to WCED policy and protocols.
Both learners have not been suspended.
