An Israeli colonial settler has spoken to Zionist media about her face-to-face encounter with Palestinian resistance fighters, who entered her home while with her two children.
The woman, seen in a video clip from the Zionist outlet, Channel 12, explains her initial fear when confronted by the resistance figures, who were armed.
But her fear evidently turns to surprise when the operatives indicate to her they will not harm her or her children. The reassurance was given with the simple line, “Don’t worry. I’m a Muslim”.
When the liberation fighter noticed a banana on the table, he asked her if he could have one. She agreed.
And just as swiftly as they came, the fighters left.
The illegal settler’s surprise, even bemusement is visibly captured in the interview.
The video provides a real-life experience as Israel and media sympathetic to the Zionist colonial project have created a narrative depicting the resistance as subhuman and barbaric.
