The US Treasury Department has announced sanctions on entities allegedly linked to the Lebanese Resistance movement, Hezbollah.

The US Treasury said it is imposing sanctions on a network it deems are involved in the smuggling of oil and liquefied petroleum gas to Syria, claiming that the network was overseen by a senior leader of Hezbollah’s finance team.

It added that the network is made up of three people, five companies, and two vessels that are using profits from LPG shipments to aid and generate revenue for Hezbollah.
