The final report on the chemical explosion at the United Phosphorus Limited (UPL) warehouse in Durban is set to be completed by the end of September.
During civil unrest last month, the UPL warehouse exploded resulting in harmful chemicals spilling over into the vicinity, damaging the natural environment.
Environment Minister Barbara Creecy says a multi-departmental investigative team will probe the spill and submit a preliminary report in due time.
This will include details on the regulatory environment where the warehouse was required to operate.
