Two people have been killed and two others wounded in a mass shooting in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain.

It’s understood that suspects on foot approached the four in Bainskloof Street and started shooting at them before fleeing the scene on Wednesday evening.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said that a 15-year-old girl and a 24-year-old man were shot dead. A 16-year-old boy was among those injured.

The motive for attack is being investigated. No arrests have yet been made.
