Turkey’s Parliamentary Speaker Numan Kurtulmus has promised to hold those accountable for murdering Turkish-American activist, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi.
She was assassinated while protesting illegal Israeli settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank.
The announcement was made during Eygi’s funeral in Didim in Turkey this weekend. Several Turkish state officials were in attendance.
Kurtulmus said that Eygi’s blood will not be in vain and that her killers will be held accountable in the international court.
He added that the responsibility for her death lies with Israel and its supporters.
