Three people were shot and killed and another two injured in a minibus taxi in Mew Way in Harare. Occupants in one minibus taxi opened fire on another taxi.
Two men aged 32 and 25 years old, and a 22-year-old woman were killed. A 29-year-old woman and a five-month-old baby were also shot and wounded. They have been transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Another child, believed to be a bystander was also wounded in the incident. No arrests have yet been made.
Meanwhile, Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula is expected to meet with the Western Cape Transport MEC Daylin Mitchell and taxi industry stakeholders in the province tomorrow to discuss plans to stop taxi-related violence.
