There’s been another deadly shooting in Khayelitsha. Three family members were shot and killed in Lindelwa Street in Ekuphumleni on Sunday.

According to the police’s Brigadier Novela Potelwa, two armed men, dressed in dark clothes, had stormed the victims’ home last night, firing several shots. The victims are all in their fifties.

Last night’s incident comes as Khayelitsha has been plagued by mass shootings for several years. Since September 2020, the area has recorded nine such incidents.
