Three attempted murder cases under investigation in Somerset West

Cape Town police are investigating three cases of attempted murder, following a shooting in Somerset West.

A minibus taxi was standing at the red traffic light on the corner of the N2 and Victoria Street, when an unknown man opened the vehicle’s door.

He spoke to a woman in the taxi, and then pulled out a firearm. He shot the woman, and another man, before turning the firearm on himself.

Police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg says that the victims have been rushed to a medical facility. No arrests have yet been made.
