The University of the Western Cape (UWC) stands proud as 18 of its staff have been counted in the world’s top two per cent of most-cited researchers in various fields.

Of the 18, eight researchers were recognized as among the world’s most-cited scientists in fields ranging from marine products research, public health, and cosmology. UWC’s Rector and Vice-Chancellor Professor Tyrone Pretorius congratulated the 18 scientists saying that the institution is all about producing research that matters and that will change lives.
