It is important for solidarity with the Palestinian cause to maintain its momentum.
This is the call from senior ANC member and former International Relations Minister to South Africa, Dr Naledi Pandor to activists and states who have taken significant strides towards ending the Israeli oppression of Palestinians.
Indonesia and Spain, amongst others have already cut trade ties with the Zionist regime.
“We need to be visible calling for full implementation of the agreement in all the three phases and we should be arguing much more for a greater progress toward discussions about a permanent solution.” said Pandor.
She added, “We should be engaging the organisation of the Islamic Conference, the Arab League, the Egyptian and Qatari governments who are involved in this process – and all civil society in those countries to encourage them to keep a very ready eye on the processes, and to ensure that this leads to freedom and justice for the people of Palestine.”
South Africa’s genocide case against the Israeli entity at the International Court of Justice is still before the court, with the regime given a year within which to respond to matter. Several countries have joined South Africa’s case.
