Why is it so important to be educated about your country’s heritage and history?
As SA aims to build an improved economy and create more jobs; it comes at the cost of bits and pieces of areas rich in heritage having to be gentrified.
In previous research papers, Associate Professor in History at Wits University, Professor Noor Nieftagodien stressed the importance of being educated around issues of South African heritage and history – so more informed stances and decisions can be taken when heritage sites get threatened.
