When should the believing people “fight” or partake in “war” and what does the Quran say about this?

We explore this question through understanding the Art of War and the significance of this war in Palestine.

One of the answers the Quran provides is verse 39 in Surah al-Hajj: 

“Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory”.
