Dozens of Tesla drivers voiced their frustration after being locked out of the vehicles, citing an issue with the carmaker’s mobile application.
Tesla vehicles are electric-powered, and drivers need to make use of the accompanying mobile app to unlock and start their cars. According to tracking site DownDetector, some 500 drivers reported receiving an error message when trying to access their car.
In response, Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk apologized for the inconvenience caused and noted that measures to prevent this occurrence have been put in place.
