Tertiary education opportunities limited by space and finances

The issue of a lack of space at university is an ongoing problem South Africa is confronted with every year. And it’s unlikely that this issue is going to disappear anytime soon as the country has a sizeable young population.

For example, this academic year the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) received 12 000 applications for the 250 first-year medical school spots available.
