A Syrian attack on towns in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon has reportedly killed a child and wounded four other people.
The so-called Syrian Ministry of Defense which is affiliated to the terrorist organisation HTS claimed responsibility for shelling, alleging that it was targeting the resistance movement Hezbollah.
At least three civilian homes and a gas station were damaged in the aggression which triggered mass displacement. The Lebanese Army has since deployed reinforcements to the border area.
The militant attack comes after three fighters from Syria attempted to illegally cross into Lebanon but were stopped by local clans.
Their bodies—which were found in Al-Qasr were handed to the Red Cross. According to local sources the fighters were Syrian and Chechen.
There have been repeated attempts to drag Hezbollah into the Syrian picture.
The Lebanese resistance has categorically denied any connection to the events which took place on the Lebanese-Syrian border. It also reiterated that Hezbollah has no connection to any events taking place within Syria.
