Cultural expectations of what a man is supposed to do, are adding pressure on people who are already feeling strain.
Clinical psychologist, Daniel Letsoalo was speaking as September 10 marks World Suicide Prevention Day.
He says that perceptions of how men are supposed to deal with trauma or loss, also makes them feel inadequate and weak.
Letsoalo says that the past year has seen many male breadwinners losing their jobs, have struggled to find new employment.
