Stellenbosch University has suspended the student that urinated on the belongings of a black student at Huis Marais residence.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday morning. In a statement, the university described the incident as destructive, hurtful, and racist.

Spokesperson, Martin Viljoen says that a detailed investigation will determine the final outcomes. He says that the university has not ruled out expulsion and or criminal charges.

The motive for this blatant disrespect has yet to be determined.

The cost of the damage to the student’s laptop, desk and books are still being calculated.
