Load shedding will be reduced to Stage 1 from nine o’clock tonight until five on Monday morning.

The utility says that good progress has been made in recovering generation capacity.

Eskom says that a generating unit at the Kusile Power Station was returned to service.

However a unit at the Hendrina Power Station was shut down to repair a boiler tube leak.

And a unit each at the Duvha, Kriel and Hendrina power stations have been taken offline for planned maintenance.
