The US assassination of two anti-terror commanders in the Middle East was an attempt to weaken the resistance axis axes and eliminate the threat it poses to Apartheid Israel.

Leader of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah notes that Iran’s top General Qassem Soleimani was able to link the forces of resistance in the region. He strengthened them, provided material and intellectual support as well as directed them on the battle field.

Nasrallah further points that Soleimani and his companions confronted the US plot known as the “New Middle East” project. The Hezbollah chief indicated that under the Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis the country’s community battalions defeated the US and forced them to withdraw from the Arab country. America and its allies as a result failed to achieve their subjugation project in Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. Instead, new elements of power aligned to the resistance have risen in the Middle East.

Soleimani and al-Muhandis were assassinated in 2020 by a US drone strike near the Baghdad International Airport in Iraq.
