Community is the sum of many factors. It includes people with different skills; innovators and diverse peoples with a shared goal.

And 12-year old Hassen Seria deeply wanted to be part of the Radio 786 community. “…I remember one of the questions he asked me was ‘whether you can fix a radio set?’ And being the boy that I was, that used to tinker with little gadgets, I very confidently told him, ‘yes I think I can’…” And so began one boy’s journey into the media world. 

Whilst in the newsroom, he recounts how Radio 786 was able to cover news stories about Palestine, the Venezuelan Revolution and the Iraq War after the bombing of the Twin Towers, given the limited resources they had at the time…
