Despite differing views on foreign policy, South Africa has celebrated its economic ties with the United States.
The country’s foreign secretary, Antony Blinken is in Pretoria, to cement further partnerships with South Africa.
His counterpart, Minister Naledi Pandor thanked the US government and its private sector for the partnerships reportedly aimed at alleviating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This as President Cyril Ramaphosa has also worked to reduce the red tape for foreign investors.
