Demands have been made for Germany to end its anti-Palestinian and Nakba denialism.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) which is set to stage a lunchtime picket outside the German Consulate in District Six has denounced the ban on Nakba commemorations in the capital Berlin. A court outlawed five Palestinian demonstrations claiming that there was a risk of inflammatory or anti-Semitic calls and violence.

A vigil in memory of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was also barred. She was assassinated by Israeli occupation forces while reporting on its attacks in the Jenin camp.

The PSC points that Germany is enabling the impunity of Israeli war crimes and blocking it from being held accountable for its oppression.
