A South African anti-apartheid activist has called on the conscience of all citizens and freedom-loving people to wake-up to the brutality of Zionism.

Reverend Dr Allan Boesak addressed congregants at Masjidul Quds in Gatesville this afternoon.

He was speaking as millions of Palestinians in Gaza are edging closer to famine as the US-backed Israeli regime continues to bombard the impoverished enclave.

The death toll in Gaza has exceeded 10 000, and is expected to be higher, as there are thousands more trapped under the rubble of their homes.

Boesak says that our actions on Palestine is a litmus test for the integrity of our politics, and for the authenticity of our faith.
