A Stellenbosch University student accused of rape has been released on bail.
The student appeared in the Stellenbosch Magistrate’s Court this morning. He faces two counts of rape.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA) Eric Ntabazalila says the court set his bail at R1000, on the condition that he must not be in contact with the complainant.
The case has been postponed until 29th June for the further investigation.
