President Cyril Ramaphosa has vowed to put an end to load shedding.

State Capture and a lack of maintenance at the parastatal were cited as the main issues contributing towards load shedding.

President Ramaphosa says there are a number of changes being made to move away from total reliance on Eskom, which will be achieved through the Renewable Energy IPP Procurement Programme.

Ramaphosa adds that Eskom’s unbundling process will be completed by December.
