President Cyril Ramaphosa says that he has not been formally charged with a crime.
He was speaking as his reputation has taken a knock over allegations that he had kept foreign currency on the premises of his Limpopo game reserve.
Last month, former State Security boss, Arthur Fraser had laid a criminal claim against the President for failing to report an alleged robbery at the Phala Phala game reserve in 2020.
But the details of the incident remain shrouded in mystery.
President Ramaphosa meanwhile says that he will not stand in the way of the ANC’s processes.
It relates to the party’s step aside rule, which dictates the suspension of members if they are criminally charged.
He has since volunteered to appear before the ANC’s Integrity Commission on a date that has yet to be set.
