There’s more movement on the Gupta extradition process to South Africa.

The National Prosecuting Authority says that expert prosecutors are working on the legal aspects of this process, as South Africa seeks to try them in a local court for their alleged role in the capture of the state under former President Jacob Zuma.

Interpol had worked with Dubai authorities to arrest Atul and Rajesh Gupta, who have been living there since they were implicated in various aspects of corruption.

The NPA says that the diplomatic and political aspects are being dealt with in parallel with their colleagues in the departments of Justice and International Relations and Cooperation.
