When we go shopping for our monthly groceries, how much thought do we put into where and how our food was grown? Over the years, the quality of food; especially livestock and crops have drastically decreased in quality and nutrition. This can be attributed to intensive farming practices that is driving out the old-school farming style of harvesting.
Instead of animals and crops growing naturally, the agricultural industry has become more reliant on the use of chemicals to fast-track the process to be able to keep up with the high demand.
In this edition of Prime Talk, we take a closer look at what intensive farming is, and how it’s negatively impacting farmers and us, as consumers.
