After much pressure from opposition parties and the public, President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation at 8pm this evening.
He is expected to provide an update on the current energy crisis.
It follows numerous consultations with stakeholders and energy experts outside of government.
In the past month, South Africa has been hit with daily load shedding further weakening the economy.
South Africans are yet to see whether this evening’s address would see government following the advice of energy experts to help remedy the energy crisis.
