It is absurd that South Africa is seeking support from Russia’s GazProm when its own refinery company, PetroSA, has the skills to revive the Mossel Bay oil to fuel refinery. This is the contention of energy expert, Tshepo Kgadima.

He was speaking as PetroSA has entered a deal with GazProm to bolster the Mossel Bay refinery infrastructure. But he notes that this would not have been needed if PetroSA’s management did not allow the top-class facility to run to the ground.
