Parliament has expressed concern over the threats to the State Security Agency (SSA) investigators probing criminal activity within the service.

Earlier today, the Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence (JSCI) was briefed on numerous issues, including Project Veza and how SSA was infiltrated by criminals.

Project Veza was a controversial topic at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry which was established to probe allegations of criminality within SSA between 2012 and 2018.

The committee has since called on investigators to receive protection from the state.
