Radio 786 broadcasting live from the home of 11-year old Nahemia Claasen who was shot and killed in Parkwood. Claasen was wounded in the head during a gang crossfire. Community members spoke out against the increasing attacks which are killing children, a result of senseless gang violence.

The community believes historic issues such as a lack of service delivery in the area are the reasons for the growing population problem without the necessary homes and resources available to meet the demand. Unemployment was also identified as a key driver behind the restlessness of gangs which appear to be recruiting younger individuals into their fold.
