The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is calling on parents and caregivers to be upfront about abuse. The hospital’s principal communications officer, Dwayne Evans, says that several of the child injuries they attend to are actually due to physical abuse or neglect. Evans notes that parents will often lie about the circumstances of how the child was injured.
