Mop-up operations are slowly moving ahead in KwaZulu-Natal after several days of heavy rains that caused widespread flooding in parts of the province.
KZN’s Cooperative Governance Department says members of the provincial executive will continue to visit areas devastated by the flood to roll out relief.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in the disaster. Residents have been urged to be patient for the restoration of basic service. The department says teams in many affected municipalities are stretched to capacity.
