Food prices continue to increase, in some instances up to 11% for outlying areas. In other main hubs, pricing is set according to market trends.
This is according to the latest data from the Pietermaritzburg Economic Justice and Dignity group. It found that the household basket recorded a rise of more than R280 over the last 11 months.
