The revelations unfolding from the Joshlin Smith case continue to shock the community.
In the witness box today is the Station Commander of Saldanha SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Lincoln Sebola who stressed that since the start of Joshlin’s disappearance case, her mother – Kelly Smith’s behaviour concerned him.
Sebola explained how police searched for Joshlin and how he had been leading the search operations himself. About 120 members of the community assisted him in the search operations.
Sebola explained that Kelly was meant to meet with then Police Minister Bheki Cele. When she entered the charge office, she was communicating with a SAPS officer whom she knew and acted as though it were normal that her daughter was missing.
Sebola added what shocked him was when Kelly told the police officer “My child Joshlin made me famous” which became a major cause for concern for him, especially considering that he is a parent himself.
