A 42-year-old son-in-law has been arrested for allegedly killing three family members and wounding his wife in Kanana, Mpumalanga.

It’s alleged an argument had erupted between the couple during the visit to the wife’s family. The situation took a violent turn when the suspect apparently drew a pistol and shot his wife, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. The wife is fighting for her life in hospital.

Mpumalanga police say the suspect handed himself to police in Ermelo. He also surrendered his licensed pistol and ammunition. The man faces charges of murder and attempted murder.
