A family has come under attack in the Western Cape town of Hermanus.

A 35-year-old woman was shot dead while travelling to work with her husband and child.

The father and ten-year-old daughter were also shot and wounded.

Police spokesperson Frederick van Wyk says no arrests have yet been made.
