Ratibul Haddaad is a popular and well known Athkar written by Imam Al Alawi al Haddaad.
It dates back to 17th century Indonesia when Muslim scholar, Sheikh Yusuf, Makassar was exiled by the Dutch colonizer. His exile would be the birth of Islam in the Cape. The Ratibul Haddaad at the time was Hymn for Muslims slaves which inspired hope and perseverance through the struggle. This Thikr of self-reflection and a collection of prayers continues to moistens the hearts of Muslims.
