Unemployment in South Africa is still considerably higher than it was before the Covid-19 pandemic.
This as the formal sector employment has recovered to the 2019, while the informal sector is still lagging.
These are some of the findings from the fourth quarter labour figures for South Africa.
There was a slight decrease from 32.9% in the third quarter to 32.7%.
Job losses have been recorded in the community and social services, agriculture and construction sectors.
This as private households saw more people being employed, including domestic workers and personal security.
